Things you must do in Ayrshire & Arran

Burns National Heritage Park
In Alloway, you can visit Rabbie’s home. Burns National Heritage Park contains a number of attractions, all within easy walking distance of each other. Two of the highlights of the Heritage Park are Burns Cottage, birthplace of Scotland’s national bard, and the adjacent museum contain over 5,000 artefacts relating to the life, work and legacy of Robert Burns.

Culzean Castle & Country Park
Between 1777 and 1792, the famous architect Robert Adam converted a rather ordinary fortified tower house into an elegant bachelor residence for David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassillis. The Castle contains a fine collection of paintings and furniture as well as a extensive display of weapons in the Armoury. The Castle is also famous for its top floor which in 1945 was given to General Eisenhower as a token of Scotland’s recognition of his role during World War II.

Explore the tastes of Arran
Tantalise your tastebuds in Arran by visiting a host of attractions. Why not start near Brodick at Home Farm and see cheeses being made and try a sample or two before heading across to Creelers Smokehouse and Restaurant for a spot of seafood for lunch, go along for a tour of Arran Brewery and then finish off at Catacol Bay Hotel with a pint of real ale in one of the finest pubs on Arran.
