Scottish whisky

Scotland’s whisky is world-renowned and over the years our favourite dram has become established as a cultural icon. Sample our ‘water of life’ in award-winning whisky bars by adding a touch of water to your chosen dram to release its distinctive flavors, or try something new with a unique whisky cocktail.

Malt whiskies are composed of 100% malted barley, fermented with yeast and distilled in a pot while blends usually incorporate different types of whiskies as well as neutral spirits and water to create distinctive flavors.

Take a trip to Glasgow and visit the city’s famous whisky bar with a history of great malts spanning 30 years - The Pot Still. You are guaranteed to discover some fascinating drams here as the bar has a renowned range of over 300 whiskies, some of which are not available in other pubs.

Travel  to Edinburgh and visit the  premier whisky bar Whiski, browsing its magnificent collection of over 270 malts. Named Whisky Bar of the Year 2011 in the prestigious Dram awards, Whiski boasts bottles from distilleries that are no longer in operation and other rare malts such as Black Bowmore, which is only available by special request.

Head to Whiski’s sister venue Whiski Rooms for dedicated tasting sessions run by experts where you can learn more about getting the most out of your favourite tipple. Or for a new take on Scotland’s famous malts try one of the bar’s tantalising whisky cocktails such as a traditional Whisky Sour or the bar’s unique Islay in the Sun.

Spend an afternoon at The Scotch Whisky Experience and become part of the whisky-making process as you take a barrel ride through a replica distillery on their fascinating tour. Enjoy a tasting session with expert tour guides then complete your experience by taking a look around the world’s largest collection of Scotch whisky while you enjoy a complimentary dram.
